about
Scandinavian group Hater return with new single ‘Sift’, a track originally planned to support the now postponed US Tour with Radio Dept.
Radiating with elegant pop and classic rock hooks, ‘Sift’ is effortlessly melodic with stunning guitar work and a twinkling melancholy. Their noise‐pop charms bring with it a darker undertone.
A song about love, the human condition and the dimensions within these relationships. Recorded at AGM studios, the track was mixed by Andy Park (Pearl Jam, Phoebe Bridgers, Now, Now) and mastered by Ed Brooks (Fleet Foxes, R.E.M).
The four‐piece are currently working on their next album and follow up to 2018’s ‘Siesta’ set for release in early 2021.

'60s surf and '90s indie mesh nicely in a fuzzy distortion that is Say Sue Me. Very chill. Makes me want to go to the beach. Strike that, it makes me want to go to Busan and catch one of their gigs! The cover of Genius (김일두)'s One Question is great! Jeremy
Alvvays has always been great, but with this album they took it to the next level. Every one of these songs is lodged in my brain now, permanently (in a good way). s. moxley
El Perro del Mar returns! Pushing even further into abstraction, these seven songs are defined by heavy atmospherics and ghostly vocals. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 23, 2020
